OnFinality Launches the OnFinality Indexer Services

At SubQuery, our mission has always been to lead the way in decentralising the future. To remain focused on this mission, we’re excited to announce that OnFinality, a leader in blockchain infrastructure management, will be taking over the day-to-day operations of the SubQuery Managed Service.

This transition will be seamless for our users. You’ll continue to enjoy the same great product, reliability, and performance you’ve come to expect—now backed by the expertise and stewardship of the OnFinality team.

By entrusting OnFinality with the Managed Service, we can dedicate our efforts to advancing decentralised infrastructure, including Decentralised Data Indexing, Decentralised RPCs, and Decentralised AI Solutions.

This shift allows SubQuery to fully focus on building the infrastructure that powers tomorrow's Web3 world—open, efficient, and user-centric.

Key Dates to Remember

Starting Wednesday, 8th January 2025, the SubQuery Managed Service will officially become the OnFinality Indexer Service.

• Seamless Transition: All URLs and endpoints will automatically redirect to the new platform (https://indexing.onfinality.io). There will be no downtime or immediate changes required on your end.

• Billing Updates: From this date, invoices and billing will come from OnFinality Pte Ltd, with your existing payment methods transferred automatically.

• Updated Terms: Continued use of the service will be governed by the updated OnFinality Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.

New Pricing: Competitive and Transparent

As part of this transition, OnFinality is introducing a more competitive pricing model designed to lower costs for growing teams and new projects:

1. Lower Compute Costs: The base price of compute units will drop 60% from US$0.20 to US$0.08 per deployment hour.

2. Stored Entities Charges: A new charge for stored entities ensures costs scale with project size, bringing fair pricing for growing projects.

If you are on the Partner Plan with custom pricing, the SubQuery team will be reaching out soon to update you on your new pricing structure.

What Does This Mean for You?

Depending on the scope of your indexer projects, you could experience a decrease or increase in billing.

For example, a small project’s monthly costs will decrease from $146.00 to just $58.40, delivering massive savings to teams starting out.
